Enclosed are some glimpses of past exhibitions.
While browsing through my exhibitions, I came across the pictures that are no longer exestent, because I have painted over you. Sometimes I have fragments of the old work still recognizable left, but sometimes building on the past created new.
The interesting thing about this exhibition was that I have painted over again some works in the aftermath, as is usual for me.
Partially I have then left fragments recognizable, to furtherhind the versatility of art to underpin.
"Nothing is as it seems at first glance."
Also, this exhibition was one of the few where I have my photo art and the painted, exhibited simultaneously.
Many visitors have noticed that already 20 years ago in the first photo works, I have "frozen" the moments and the "veil of reality" put over it. Photo paper, painting surface, wax, oil, acrylic, ....for me all just a means to an end.
It continues to be challenging for me to maintain the excitement of the art work.
Like an onion, I wrap the work sends layer by layer, without giving too much away, and giving scope for their own cognition.
